Caring for Self

Someone with the preference caring for self finds it important to take care of themselves first and then others only afterwards. If they have visitors, they will first give themselves something to drink. When this preference is very strong, it could be possible that the visitor may not be asked if they would like a drink at all. In general top-class sportsmen are very focused on themselves and therefore improve their performance constantly.

Caring for Others

Someone with the preference caring for others likes to take care of others first and themselves after wards. They make sure the guests have something to eat or drink first and then think of themselves. When this preference is very strong, it is possible that the person often says yes to tasks that he/she gets and never says no in order to please others .That could have an impact on their health, because the focus is on the needs of others. People working in the Care sector often have this way of thinking.
